New Auxiliary Bishop Appointed for Toronto

On Friday Morning, the Holy Father - Pope Benedict XVI - appointed Msgr. Wayne Kirkpatrick as an Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Toronto.

Msgr. Wayne, born in 1957, was ordained a priest of the Diocese of St. Catherines on September 1, 1984.

He will be Ordained a Bishop in St. Catherines, before beginning his ministry for the Archdiocese of Toronto.

Ascension  Greetings!

Each Sunday (Saturday) Mass in the Season of Easter we will be welcoming children to join us at the Table of the Eucharist for the first time.  These will be days of great excitement and joy for these children and their families. 

May 14 - 18 and May 22 - 24 we will be celebrating the Scarament of Confirmation at 7:00 each evening.

NEW ROMAN MISSAL=NEW MUSIC AT MASS

With the new translation of the Roman Missal - there are  a number of the "Parts of the Mass" that we sing which have changed, so the music we use will be changing.

We have a new music resource "Celebrate in Song" from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops which we will be adding to the pews (its tight - but they will fit!). The Archbishop has asked each parish to choose only one setting and use it for 1 year at all masses. Our musicians met and after some discussion we have selected Mass setting A - here are links for the new parts of the Mass which we will be singing starting September 24/25, 2011
